Little Olive in Big Amsterdam
Visiting friends in Amsterdam....Such a characteristic city with a lively atmosphere but unexpected hidden little streets and canals that were usually quiet.
Dutch people are so friendly! Funny though how many tourists there is in Amsterdam! Apparently more than Dutch...
Lots of pretty little art shops, vintage shops, markets, and galleries.. Want to visit again as there was so much to see we still need to explore other parts of the city! Like the tree in the house , famous architectural building

Recent Visit to Lyon
I went to Lyon to ice skate for 1 week of intense training, last month.
It was a fab experience, but because I was on my own I felt like I was going slightly crazy as the days went on! Sketching was the only thing that kept me sane! The view from my window in my hotel looked onto a posh restaurant where the French people were extremely interesting to draw! Here are some examples of some drawings I did from the streets near where I was staying - I loved the typical French streets and city layout , and the sky and the sunsets over the canal in the evenings were so beautiful.

Whilst in Lyon I visited the Fine Art Museum and spent an afternoon studying the impressionist paintings in the museum. My favourite painting was 'Charing Cross Bridge' by Monet.
I love the hazyness and the ghostly atmosphere he creates with his use of pastel, unsaturated colour choice. The reflection on the water is of particular interest to me. There is so much movement in this painting - light in the sky and on the water.

Art Based On Natural Forms
Some examples of work from my portfolio and exhibition. Inspired by the growth and movement in natural forms.
After producing this project I got quite obsessed with art installations and started to come up with all sorts of large scale crazy ideas !- I hope one day I can make them! Also loving the more interactive installations...I have realised how much art is to do with the experience of seeing it and your own personal response to the work....
